My five-year old got it immediately and is thoroughly excited about her doll. The only issue we've had is keeping the dolls shoes on her feet. Unfortunately, once you snip the plastic tie that is holding the dolls legs together the shoes come off and never really stay on again. Other than that great buy from Amazon during their Holiday specials!
